A session that is yours
Five conditions about an account. The last of them is the gate that most of the remaining map waits on.
Stage D is where the map narrows. Four separate chains run into it and one chain runs out, and everything after this point in the map is waiting on a single condition: being able to log in a second time. That is not a stylistic choice, it is a structural fact about how the rest of the graph is wired.
The distinction the whole stage turns on is the difference between having done something once and being able to do it again. Registering an account proves the form worked. It does not prove you can become that account tomorrow, on a different day, possibly on a different machine, using only material you actually still have. Those are separate claims, and only the second one supports anything.
What enters this stage
Two arrows arrive from earlier stages. The mirror question feeds the name condition, because choosing a name is the first irreversible thing you do at an address and it is worth having formed a view about the address first. The single copy question feeds both the password condition and the recovery phrase condition, which is stage A reaching two stages forward to say the same thing twice.
What leaves this stage
Four arrows leave, all of them from D5. They land on the coin condition, the deposit address condition, the listing condition and the answer condition. One more arrow leaves the stage from D4, and it goes all the way to the last card on the map.
Three of these are decided in about ninety seconds
The name, the phrase and whether a second factor is switched on are all settled during registration, in the space of a minute or two, usually while the reader is thinking about something else. None of them can be revisited afterwards on the same terms. The name is in whatever indexed it. The phrase was shown once. The factor is now required whether or not you can produce it.
This is the one place on the map where the cheapest possible action and the most consequential moment coincide. Slowing down here costs nothing and is upstream of most of what follows.
What this stage does not cover
It says nothing about whether the account will still exist, whether the market will still be there, or whether anything on the other side behaves as you expect. Those are not conditions you hold and this map only contains conditions you hold.
